Description Manager Nursing - Dialysis Service Line Full Time

Manager is accountable for the overall management, leadership and
direction of the clinical and operational activities of the
Dialysis Program for the Swedish system in accordance with Swedish
Medical Center's mission, vision, and values to include creating an
environment that fosters a multidisciplinary team and collaborative
approach to care that achieves operational and clinical Best
Practice. The Manager is responsible, in conjunction with Dialysis
Medical Director, for maintaining the required DNV, DOH, and AAMI
guidelines. The ability to collaborate with the service line
leaders to design and align resources to support program
initiatives, program development, developing and maintaining
relationships with all internal and external stakeholders and
maintenance of a program database are keys to success. He/she will
oversee clinical management, data and technology to support program
development and growth within the Swedish healthcare system. This
position will serve as the lead expert in dialysis services through
the continuum of patient care. Essential functions:
- Accountable for the day to day operations of Dialysis Services
(hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and CRRT).
- Assures that nursing standards for the care of dialysis
patients are met throughout the organization.
- Performs an annual needs assessment to determine caregivers
educational needs, collaborates with nephrologists to streamline
protocols for best practices, and follows up with staff to evaluate
adherence to regulatory standard throughout the organization.
- Leads quality and operations committees in partnership with
Dialysis Medical Director.
- Participates and assists in facilitating ongoing quality
improvement initiatives intended to improve clinical outcomes and
support the patient throughout the continuum of care, incorporating
current knowledge and best practices into care that achieves high
clinical and functional outcomes, is cost effective, and enables
staff to provide the best dialysis care.
- Maintains the systems and tools to track quality and
operational data needed and identifies interventions when

- Bachelor's Degree: BSN from an accredited school of nursing, or
ADN and a commitment to obtain BSN within two years of date of
hire.
- Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License.
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart
Association.
- 3 years recent experience in Dialysis nursing.
- Must meet criteria of Registered Nurse. Preferred
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Nursing or related field.
