Are you a charismatic data science Developer Advocate at heart,
someone who excels in the spotlight, loves presenting and hosting
events, and possesses a deep knowledge of machine learning, data
science, AI, and the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform?As a
Machine Learning Developer Advocate, you'll share your expertise in
agents, AI, GenAI, MLOps, and LLMOps and be a conduit between the
engineering teams and the developer community of data scientists
and AI engineers building their careers on technologies including
(but not limited to) pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, DSPy, MLflow,
LangChain, LlamaIndex, and Databricks. You'll share your knowledge
of best practices for developing and productionizing AI and machine
learning by giving talks, hosting panels and meetups, blogging,
answering forum questions, and meeting 1:1 with influential data
scientists and AI engineers in the Databricks community. You'll
work closely with the community and Mosaic AI product and
engineering teams.This role will leverage your strong expertise in
Databricks Mosaic AI to educate, inspire, and support our growing
user base.Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of
knowledge-sharing activities. You'll deliver engaging talks, host
insightful panels and meetups, create informative blogs and video
content, develop comprehensive courseware, provide expert answers
in community forums, and conduct one-on-one sessions with
influential data engineers and scientists. These efforts will help
disseminate best practices and foster a thriving Databricks
community.Community engagement will be at the heart of your role.
You'll work closely with the Databricks community and the product
and engineering teams, ensuring that user needs and product
development align seamlessly. Reporting directly to the Head of
Developer Relations, you'll collaborate with fellow developer
advocates and program managers to create and execute a cohesive and
impactful developer relations strategy.The ideal candidate for this

needs, and a strong commitment to effectively explaining our
products.You'll use your diverse Databricks skill set to educate
the community about Databricks technologies and continuously gather
and utilize community feedback to improve the developer

- Share knowledge about machine learning and large language model
development, production, and operations; demonstrating an intricate
understanding of how to streamline ML/AI/LLM lifecycles.
- Generate awareness for Databricks Mosaic AI by establishing it
as a leading technical solution through regular speaking
engagements at industry events.
- Expand Databricks Mosaic AI and MLflow meetups and user groups
to attract tens of thousands of participants, fostering a thriving
community.
- Foster enthusiasm for Databricks Mosaic AI and MLflow by
leveraging creativity and innovation to create engaging experiences
and content, welcoming novel perspectives and stimulating
discussions.
- Enable data engineers to build MLOps and LLMOps infrastructure
with MLflow.
- To facilitate the widespread adoption of new Databricks Mosaic
AI features, create high-quality educational resources such as
videos, sample notebooks, tutorials, and blog posts.
- Advocate for the needs and desires of the ML and AI communities
within Databricks, ensuring their voices are heard and considered
by other teams.
- Provide robust support for users across platforms like Slack,
StackOverflow, and online communities to stay attuned to their
feedback and requirements.What we look for:
- 5+ years experience as DevRel and as a software developer,
solutions architect, or related profession
- Subject matter knowledge of solving data engineering problems
at all scales.
- Active participation and recognized leadership in Databricks
community forums, chats, and meetups
- You have experience with Python and SQL, machine learning and
deep learning frameworks such as scikit-learn and PyTorch, and open
source and SaaS AI models.
- You are a leader in the data science and machine learning
communities, including MLflow.
- You have experience working with and contributing to open
source communities.
- You have experience managing, operationalizing, and engaging
with developer communities, running user groups, or holding global
meetups.
- You are a solid communicator with experience writing about,
teaching, and speaking about complex technical topics.
- You have empathy and a deep technical understanding of
developer personas and can apply that to the design and development
of good experiences in tutorials, notebooks, communities, and
more.Pay Range TransparencyDatabricks is committed to fair and
equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is
listed below and represents base salary range for
non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable
roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors
that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to
job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications
and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors
above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total
compensation package for this position may also include eligibility
for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed
above.Zone 2 Pay Range: $109,500 - $194,000 USDAbout
