combine satellite imagery of the Earth, modern software
engineering, machine learning, and cloud computing to solve the
toughest challenges in agriculture, energy and mining, insurance
and risk mitigation, wildfire and forest intelligence,
carbon-capture verification and more.EDA's signature Earth
Observation mission, the EarthDaily Constellation (EDC), is
currently under construction. The EDC will be the most powerful
global change detection and change monitoring system ever
developed, capable of generating unprecedented predictive analytics
and insights. The EarthDaily Constellation will combine with the
EarthPipeline data processing system to provide unprecedented,
scientific-grade data of the world every day, positioning EDA to
meet the growing needs of diverse industries.OUR TEAMOur global,
enterprise-wide team represents a variety of business lines and is
made up of business development, sales, marketing and support
professionals, data scientists, software engineers, project
managers and finance, HR, and IT professionals. Our BD and Sales
team is nimble and creative, and in preparation for launching a
frontier and disruptive product in EDC, we are building a wide and
deep sales pipeline for a variety of use cases. We are currently
looking for an experienced Director, Business Development, AI and
Big Tech to join our crew!READY TO LAUNCH?Do you want to work for
one of the most exciting space companies at the forefront of global
change detection/change monitoring and lead the development of new
business opportunities for the sale of EarthDaily Constellation
data and analytics services? The ideal candidate will have
experience in the global technology, geospatial, and AI sector,
positioning EDA to capture opportunities for our sales team.PREPARE
FOR IMPACT!Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), the
Director of BD, AI and Big Tech will help develop EDA's strategy
for engaging with strategic technology, AI, foundation model and
consulting companies and partners. Working closely with the CRO,
Sales team, and Product Development teams, they will identify new
sales opportunities, shape customer requirements, and develop
capture strategies for strategic worldwide
opportunities.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop Global AI, Foundation Model, and Big Tech BD and Sales
Strategy
- Working in partnership to ensure alignment with the Chief
Revenue Officer as well as the entire Senior Executive team/Line of
Business leadership, conceptualize and develop a comprehensive
global strategy for capturing business in technology markets.
- Work with product management and engineering teams to identify
and communicate technology market requirements, product
positioning, and pricing strategies.
- Develop a plan for working with large integrators, consulting
firms, and other indirect channels to advance EDA interests in the
technology sector.
- Identify, Engage with, and Progress AI and Big Tech
Opportunities
- Use contacts, personal networks, and research to segment,
prioritize, and identify long-term business development
opportunities that can lead to procurement of EarthDaily Analytics
products and services in the AI and technology markets.
- Engage directly with AI and Big Tech customers through a mix of
remote and direct contacts to evangelize the use of EDA products
and services to fulfill AI and Big Tech industry requirements.
- Develop and steer business development opportunities towards
the initiation of customer procurement cycles. Engage with
customers to influence the allocation of budgets and technical
priorities to advance EDA sales opportunities.
- Work with the CRO and the VP Global Sales and his team to move
business development opportunities into sales cycles to be closed
by the sales team.
- Evangelize and Market EDA Solutions to the AI and Big Tech
market
- Work with the CRO and VP Marketing to develop strategies and
marketing activities to promote awareness of EDA solutions for the
AI, Strategic and Big Tech markets.
- Evangelize EDA solutions at tradeshows and other technology
industry related events.
- Serve as the EDA AI and Big Tech expert at external marketing
events.YOUR PAST MISSIONS
- Bachelor's degree in science, technology, business, or relevant
field.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- 15-20 years' experience in business development in technology
markets, or in developing business in the AI, Strategic, Big Tech,
and/or consulting markets.
- Established reputation and contacts in the technology and
geospatial sectors.
- Senior business management experience, record of delivering
results in sales and/or business development engagements.
- Experience with large corporate capture practices and
processes.
- Experience in the space and/or geospatial business
preferred.YOUR TOOLKIT
- Demonstrated experience in commercial business
development.
- Proven ability to produce strong, accurate, well-written and
compelling communications.
- Strong public-speaking and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of satellite data applications and customer needs
preferred.
- Tech-savvy and experienced using social media.
- Excellent people and project management skills; ability to
communicate with people in and outside of the organization at all
levels and build internal partnerships across all functional
areas.YOUR COMPENSATIONBase Salary Range: $140,000-$210,000 USD
annually.Variable pay up to 40% based on the achievement of
corporate and team/individual performance objectives.The range
above depends on job-related skills, experience, training,
education, location and business needs. The range is based on
Washington-derived compensation for this role. Only when a
candidate has the demonstrated experience, skills, and expertise to
advance in the range for this position, would we consider paying at
the top end of the range for this role.OUR SPACE (including

has a substantial requirement for global travel (3-4 times per
month) for BD customer meetings, inter-company training, off-sites,
