Career Opportunities with Reston Consulting Group IncA great place to work.We are currently seeking a Lead Network Engineer with an active Secret clearance as part of an ongoing contract in Washington, DC.Please note: All candidates must be U.S. citizens with an active SECRET CLEARANCE and DoD 8570/8320-compliant certifications. This is a Hybrid position with three (3) days on site and two (2) telework days *after 30-60 days on site*.Summary:The Lead Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the nationwide network infrastructure of a U.S. Federal agency with over 3000 users. This role involves analyzing current and future network needs in terms of bandwidth, security, scalability, and reliability. The Lead Network Engineer will plan and oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of network devices, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and servers. Additionally, the role requires troubleshooting and resolving network issues, providing technical support and guidance to network staff and users, and collaborating with other IT professionals, managers, and stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, monitor and troubleshoot wide area networks using various network equipment, software, and protocols.
• Provide superior customer service to internal and external clients.
• Work with third-party partners to provision site-to-site IPSEC VPNs.
• Configure and utilize a variety of network management tools.
• Find and implement new technologies that simplify the network environment while improving security and performance.
• Monitor the network ticket queue and escalate tickets in accordance with Service Level Agreement requirements.
• Partner with stakeholders to provide solutions to support national network operations.Basic Requirements:
  • Must have 7+ years of experience.
  • Demonstrates experience leading and managing large-scale network engineering projects.
  • Thorough in performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
  • Works with clients and customers to assess their needs and resolve problems.
  • Expresses information effectively to individuals or groups.
  • Identifies problems and makes sound recommendations.
  • CCNP, CCIE, CCNA, F5, ITIL, CCDP, CCISP, SP, JNCIP, AWS certifications are preferred.This role is part of a seven-year contract and presents growth opportunities. Position requires participation in rotating late shifts and after-hours on-call rotations. This is a hybrid position with three days on-site in Washington, DC, and two telework days after an initial 30-60 days on-site.
