Your ImpactAs Axon's Senior Revenue Accountant, you will be part of a highly collaborative team which partners with Financial Planning & Analysis, Commercial Controllership, and Operations to ensure complete and accurate revenue and cost of goods sold through various analytical procedures.   • Develop a deep understanding of the Company's order-to-cash cycle, with a particular focus on how quoting through revenue recognition is affected by upstream processes to optimize overall customer and Company outcomes
  • Have end-to-end ownership over key revenue streams, controls, and financial statement disclosures
  • Perform monthly and quarterly analytic review procedures to ensure proper accounting of revenue and cost
  • Partner with the information technology department to build robust reporting
  • Perform reviews over automated revenue allocations to ensure proper quoting of products/services, completeness, and accuracy
  • Work closely with all revenue streams to accurately test and validate proper accounting treatments
  • Manage internal stakeholder expectations through monitoring and reporting key metrics on the Revenue Accounting organization's performance relative to quality, accuracy, and timeliness
  • Perform manual revenue allocations, modifications, and prospective modification analysis as assigned
  • Utilize understanding of the Company's quoting, ordering and revenue recognition systems to redesign work and help business partners
  • Perform key SOX internal controls
  • Prepare and book journal entries to ensure the appropriate revenue and cost treatments
  • Ensure integrity of key processes by understanding systems, flow of transactions, and internal controls
  • Support internal and external audit activities, including SOX Compliance
  • Assist with special projects as assignedWhat You Bring
    • Passion for being involved in changing processes and applying automation in a complex environment
    • Bachelor or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, or ability to qualify, preferred
    • 3-5 years of accounting and analysis experience, revenue a plus
    • Recent public accounting experience or revenue experience with a publicly-traded company highly desirable
    • Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills are required for frequent interaction with financial and non-financial management
    • Experience and knowledge working with ASC 606 compliance guidelines
    • Attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Salesforce and RevStream software knowledge are a plus
    • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Sigma, SQL and other data analytics procedures are highly desirable.
    • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team setting

The starting base pay for this role is between USD 70,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 110,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
