State Bank, the Deposit Operations Specialist II takes care of our
customers and employees through accurate, efficient processing.
This role is responsible for providing back-office support to the
branch network and other departments providing exceptional customer
service and upholding the highest operational standards. You will
assist the Central Operations Supervisor in identifying,
developing, and implementing process improvements ensuring the
Bank's losses are minimal and that policies conform with
deposit-related regulations. This position is a unionized position
through the Communication Workers of America.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Provides day-to-day support for bank personnel and customers in
the area of operations, deposit compliance, internal audits, and
other related areas acting as an interdepartmental liaison to
jointly resolve problems.
- Maintains strong knowledge and understanding of appropriate
banking laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures, and
ensures compliance with those laws, regulation, policies, and
procedures.
- Ensures compliance with applicable regulations and internal
company policies (e.g., BSA, Anti-Money Laundering, Fair Lending,
Privacy, and Anti-Discrimination).
- Ensures all service level expectations are met for internal and
external customer with a high standard of customer experience,
responsiveness, and product expertise.
- Assists the Central Operations Manager in providing team
training and guidance on departmental procedures.
- Assists in the development and maintenance of forms and
policies related to operational procedures.
- Assists the Central Operations Manager in providing end user
training for Bank staff on operational procedures (e.g.,
transaction processing, new products, program changes, compliance,
fraud monitoring, etc.).
- Balances and completes daily reconciliations for general ledger
accounts. Performs audits and reviews of operational tasks as
assigned (e.g., escheatment processes and accounts, system
maintenance requests, assists with dormant inactive accounts).
- Identify areas for potential efficiency and risk or loss
mitigation within departmental systems and processes.
- Perform operational tasks associated with multiple areas of
Deposit Operations (e.g., IRA products, ATM functions, debit/credit
card processes, wire/electronic transfers, overdrafts).
- Receives and processes garnishment, levies, subpoenas, and
other requests for research.
- Completes all online compliance training as assigned within
specified due dates.
- Performs other duties as assigned.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years of previous banking operations experience
- Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification preferred
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal
skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications including Word,
Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in
a fast-paced environment.COMPENSATIONThe posted pay range is the
lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe
we would pay at posting for this role but may include ranges from
the different geographies where this position may be based. New
employees' starting pay is usually from the start of the range to
approximately 25% of the max, more qualified and/or experienced
employees may start near the middle of the range for their
geography. We may ultimately pay more or less than this
range.Compensation for our organization is based on factors that
include the role, required knowledge, skills, abilities and
competencies, and candidates' relevant education, qualifications,
certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location,
performance, union contract and business needs. Our pay ranges are
based on national living wage indexes, such as MIT's living wage
index, to enable us to pay our employees beyond what are standard
practices for many employers, and also take into account
geographically-specific recent compensation market survey data for
