Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid 3 days onsite)
Duration: 6+ Months (Extension/Conversion Possible)
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to support our client's
Global Customs Analytics Team. This role is ideal for professionals
who are passionate about turning complex data into actionable
insights and improving operational efficiency across customs and
trade processes.
The selected candidate will work with cross-functional teams,
analyse large-scale data, build interactive dashboards, and
contribute to data-driven decision-making.
Years of Experience Required: 5+ years
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, MIS, or related
field,
Experience in large enterprise level environment
Strong expertise in SQL, Excel, Power BI and/or Tableau
Proficiency in tools such as Miro, Visio, PowerPoint, Oracle EBS,
and Alteryx
Demonstrated experience in data cleansing, transformation, and
visualization
Solid understanding of business process improvement and UAT
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):
Familiarity with accounting/finance concepts such as GL accounts,
Accounts Payable, etc.
Experience working in customs, global trade, or supply chain
analytics is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Modelling
Extract, cleanse, and transform data from diverse systems including
SQL Server, Oracle EBS, Oracle GTM, Incorta, and third-party
platforms.
Conduct exploratory and descriptive data analysis to identify
trends, outliers, and opportunities.
Apply statistical methods and modelling techniques to support
business insights.
Visualization & Reporting
Build interactive and dynamic dashboards using Power BI or
Tableau.
Develop compelling data stories and presentations to drive
visibility and decision-making.
Ensure data visualizations are business-aligned and tailored for
non-technical stakeholders.
Process Optimization & Business Support
Support the operationalization of insights into customs and supply
chain processes.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather
requirements and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT).
Document data flows, transformations, and processes for future
scalability and improvements.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with a small, collaborative team and cross-functional
teams.
Translate business questions into analytical solutions and provide
ongoing support post-implementation.
Present findings in a clear and actionable manner across varying
levels of the organization.
