Join Coupang now to create an epic experience in this always-on, high-tech, and hyper-connected world.Job Overview:As a Senior Staff Storage Architect, you will be responsible for managing, architecting and maintaining our storage infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability, with a specific focus on supporting AI/ML workloads. You will work closely with data scientists, AI/ML engineers, and other IT professionals to support our data storage needs and contribute to the overall success of our AI/ML projects.Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain storage systems, including SAN, NAS, and DAS, with a focus on AI/ML workloads.
• Monitor storage performance and capacity, and implement necessary adjustments to support high-performance AI/ML applications.
• Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity and availability for AI/ML datasets.
• Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues, particularly those impacting AI/ML workloads.
• Collaborate with data scientists and AI/ML engineers to design and implement storage solutions that meet their specific needs.
• Develop and maintain documentation for storage systems and procedures, with an emphasis on AI/ML use cases.
• Ensure compliance with data security policies and regulations, especially for sensitive AI/ML data.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing, with a focus on AI/ML data recovery.Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Storage Administrator or similar role, with a focus on AI/ML workloads.
  • Strong knowledge of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, DAS) and protocols (iSCSI, FC, NFS, SMB).
  • Experience with storage management tools and software, particularly those optimized for AI/ML workloads.
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions for large-scale AI/ML datasets.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Storage+, EMC, NetApp) are a plus.Preferred Experience with AI/ML Storage Vendors and Technologies:

At Coupang, your base pay is one part of your total compensation.The base pay for this position ranges from $159,000/year in our lowest geographic market to $324,000/year in our highest geographic market.
