Job Summary: The Senior Investigator is an embedded role, with one of Pinkerton's largest global tech clients. This role conducts highly complex and sensitive protective investigations in coordination with other investigators, operational psychologists, HR, Legal, and intelligence resources, to ensure that the investigative standards established by Pinkerton are followed. The Investigator provides people tracking solutions by organizing information, providing situational and domain awareness, comparing levels or standards of threats, determining the potential tactical and strategic impact of negative outcomes to individuals, local, regional, and global operations, and objectively communicates findings to the client and relevant stakeholders. This position will have a hybrid work schedule (in office/remote). Essential Functions: Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence. Work closely with Analysts to review online social media, open-source research and commercial database research for threat indicators. Provide input and proactively work to identify, assess, and mitigate potential threats. Collect data and analyzes activities of individuals who may pose a threat to clients or their interests. Recognize behavioral indicators suggesting pathway behavior. Identify and apply a level of concern for Persons of Interests (POIs). Utilize structured professional judgement tools related to threats of violence. Complete investigative processes, analysis, and reporting related to a wide variety of cases including but not limited to life safety/threat management (workplace violence, assault, harassment, stalking, domestic violence, and missing personnel), asset protection, misconduct including alleged violations of certain client policies, miscellaneous issues including trespassing, unauthorized access, and vandalism. Complete evidence identification, collection, retention, and dissemination of investigative information. Promote cooperation, innovation, and resourcefulness in obtaining information. Conduct social media, public records, and third-party databases to build leads. Investigate, research, and resolve internal and external issues related to various threats against workplace personnel and assets. Monitor persons of interest who may pose a threat of violence to people or assets. Monitor all-source information to proactively identify and assess likelihood and severity of threats. View covert and overt video surveillance. Assist in the set-up and installation of basic analog and digital video surveillance equipment. Comply with the client's policy on the use of video surveillance equipment and related federal and state laws. Assist with administrative investigations/background checks, cardkey access reports, and telephone records. Produce high quality, timely, and tailored threat assessments for internal stakeholders while managing sensitive or confidential data. Deliver analytical assessments in clear and succinct products that project credibility, convey recommendations, and reinforce key messages. Encourage the on-going review of the client's investigations and assist in bringing investigations to successful conclusions. Collaborate internally with cross functional groups such as legal, HR, and business suppliers/partners to enhance processes, workflows, tools, and system functionality. Initiate, execute, and maintain relationships inside and outside the organization, including law enforcement. Serve as a threat management representative in joint task force/government think-tanks, as directed. Provide security resources to augment client's existing security resources upon request for security assisted termination, workplace violence, and emergency or short-term needs. All other duties, as assigned. Education, Experience, and Certifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field and/or formal corporate, government, military, or law enforcement investigation and private or public sector threat assessment experience. Hands on proficiency with software, databases, social media platforms, and heat/target mapping is required. Competencies: CTM, PCI, and/or CPP certifications, preferred. Understanding of executive protection principles, preferred. Knowledge of internet crime investigation processes and use of related databases. Able to effectively analyze publicly available/open source information from a deep and dark web perspective. Crisis management skills. Able to handle large, complex investigations involving cross-group collaboration. Client Orientated and results driven. Able to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures. Able to carry out responsibilities with little supervision. Successful project management skills. Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously under stressful conditions with competing priorities and deadlines. Able to build consensus and influence decision-makers. Occasional reaching and lifting of small objects and operating office equipment. Exposure to stressful situations, such as challenging individuals who are in or approaching an unauthorized area. Rapid and effective decision-making during unusual or emergency situations. Work in environments and under conditions that may require carrying authorized weapons and ammunition, the use of protective gear and devices, and/or awareness of personal safety and safety of others. On occasion, may be required to perform stressful and physical activity. Respond to occasional emergency situations, at any hour, with short notice. Frequent sitting, standing and/or walking. Able to rotate on call one week out of every 9 weeks. Travel, as required. Salary & Benefits Information: Rate of pay: $120000 - $125000 / year.
