- A hospital in Washington is looking for an experienced CT Tech
for a travel contract.
- The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience, hold
an active BLS, ARRT (CT) and WA License.
- Job Requirements
- ARRT, BLS
- Must provide radiation badge
- MUST have WA license
- General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.): BLS
- Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements: ARRT,
CT
- Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: CT:
W/WO Contrast Head, Spine, Abdomen, Pelvis, CTA PE, Runoff,
Extremities, General XRAY: Chest, PICC line placement, Tube
Placement, Trauma- FX Extremities
- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Ability to work independently
as Graveyard CT/Xray tech is the only staff member in the
department between 11pm-7am
- Average # of scans/studies per day: Graveyard averages between
2-6 CT scans per night and 1-4 xrays per night depending on the
night
- EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System:
software & hardware) do they use: EPIC and McKesson PACS
- Department Specific Equipment (GE, Phillips, Siemens): Toshiba
64 Slice CT Scanner, Carestream xray room (very user friendly)
Brand new GE Portable Xray
- Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)?: No
- Radiologist in-house?: Mon, Wed, Fri 8am-5pm mostly otherwise
it's TRA Telerad
- Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department):
Yes - need to be able to start an IV if the one from the ED does
not look good and they need to start another. There is not an RN in
DI to do that for them.
- Schedule Information
- Shifts & Scheduling: Tuesday through Friday - 3p-1130p
- Weekend Requirement
- Holiday Requirement: If the holiday falls on your shift, you
work it
- Call or Standby requirement? Response time?: No call
required
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided?: Wear scrubs of
your choosing
- Department specific orientation: EPIC training is required in
Tacoma, On-Site training one week

- Department: Radiology - CT (Computed Tomography)
- How many scanners/rooms does this department have?: 1 CT, 1
X-RAY, 1 PORTABLE
- Will they have to float/cover any other areas?: CT and General
X-Ray

- Medical Solutions auto deducts the 1.75 WA state tax - you are
able re-add that back in.
