Full-time employment at foundry10 is a four-day work week. This is
not a remote position. Candidates must live in Washington State and
be able to work in person in the greater Seattle area as needed. We

policies when working in person.Summary of RoleProgram Developers
at foundry10 execute essential exploratory and evaluative education
fieldwork for foundry10.A foundry10 Program Developer is ultimately
responsible for the development, delivery, and evaluation of
educational programming and resources for foundry10. This role
specifically will be furthering our educational programming work on
the Technology, Media, and Information Literacy (TMIL) Team to
support TMIL's key Focus Areas:
- Digital Tools in Learning Environments: Youth and educators are
explorers of digital tools for learning and teaching.
- Healthy & Responsible Digital Habits: Youth and educators are
critical consumers of digital technology, media, and
information.
- Technical Skills to Create Digital Tools Responsibly: Youth and
educators are critical developers of digital technology, media, and
information.As the Technology Literacy Program Developer on TMIL,
you will lead our Educator Fellowship program to support educators
in testing and applying their technology innovation initiatives in
K-12 schools. This role requires expertise in local state and
district technology standards, teacher professional development in
technology, and best practices for classroom implementation.In this
role, you will also develop direct-to-youth program initiatives
with a focus on technology literacy topics, including robotics,
physical computing, makerspaces, computer science, XR, and AI
literacy in education. This aspect of the role requires a deep
familiarity with emerging technologies and teaching technical
skills to K-12 students.foundry10 Program Developers are expected
to cultivate partnerships and engage in ongoing professional
development in order to ground their work in evidence-based best
practices and relevant research. They utilize this continuous
learning to identify gaps and needs in their respective fields and
identify opportunities for further program evaluation, iteration,
and expansion.Program Developers also work closely with foundry10's
Research, Sharing, and Philanthropy pillars to pursue critical
questions and further study, engage in impactful storytelling, and
initiate responsive giving of resources and funds.This is a
full-time position with an annual salary range of $70,000-112,625,
depending on experience and technical requirements for the role.
This position reports to the Education Program
Manager.Responsibilities
- Identify needs and gaps in K-12 technology literacy education
through analysis of partner needs, trends, relevant research,
professional development, and relevant current events.
- Build relationships with educators working in technology
integration roles (such as TOSAs, librarians, tech coaches) across
Washington state.
- Lead the Educator Fellowship program, including application
review, selection, and ongoing program facilitation.
- Coordinate conference attendance, virtual meetings, and
professional development opportunities for fellowship
participants.
- Support educators in designing and implementing
technology-enhanced learning projects in grades 3-8.
- Develop and design educational programs and curricula for K-12
youth that integrate technology literacy topics aligned with ISTE
standards.
- Deliver programs to groups of youth in-person, onsite, or
online for schools, partner facilities, and public venues.
- Collaborate with the Program Evaluator and Program Pillar admin
team to evaluate the impact of the offered educational
programs.
- Coordinate with the Program Pillar admin team to hire, onboard,
and manage the work of part-time educators.
- Serve as an internal and external representative of the Program
Pillar to help support and guide projects, goal setting, and focus
for the Technology, Media, and Information Literacy Team and
Program Pillar; this includes:
- Collaborating with researchers to create research questions and
contribute to program-based research projects.
- Identifying and recommending impactful and responsive
philanthropy initiatives.
- Collaborating with the Sharing Pillar to communicate impactful
learning, resources, and stories through a variety of formats such
as reports, videos, infographics, blog posts, and social
media.
- Represent foundry10 Programs in education technology spaces; in
schools, community organizations, conferences, within publications,
and face-to-face with a variety of community partners.To be

- Youth-facing experience
- Minimum five years' experience in technology literacy
education. This could include developing computer science
curriculum, facilitating robotics programs, creating makerspaces,
running technology integration initiatives, supporting AI literacy,
and/or working with technology-based learning environments (i.e.,
Minecraft, game-based learning).
- Two years' experience teaching and facilitating youth in a
traditional or non-traditional education setting.
- Minimum two years' experience creating K-12 curriculum, and
developing education programs for youth, K-12.
- Educator-facing experience, preferred
- Minimum of two years' experience teaching and facilitating
professional development for educators in technology
integration
- Experience creating professional learning frameworks that
measure impact on educator practice
- Experience in a technology integration role (e.g., Technology
Integration Specialist, Digital Learning Coach, Teacher-Librarian,
TOSA).
- Familiarity with ISTE standards and their application in K-12
settings.
- Track record and passion for advocating for youth and
education.
- Experience serving as a positive role model to children and
youth.
- Demonstrated ability to work highly collaboratively with
diverse groups of people.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to speak and present to groups of youth and
adults.
- Track record of listening, patience and understanding with
youth, and sensitivities to marginalized populations.
- Excellent organizational skills and abilities to understand
budgeting.
- Knowledge and experience working with anti-racism, equity, and
inclusive practices.
- Skills and abilities in technology integration and digital
literacy education.
- Strong knowledge of technology literacy topics including
robotics, physical computing, makerspaces, XR, computer science,
and AI in education.
- Experience building professional learning communities and
facilitating adult learning.
- Deep understanding of the ISTE Standards for Educators and
ability to design professional learning aligned to these
standards.
- Knowledge of Washington state and district technology standards
and their classroom implementation.
- Familiarity with informal digital learning environments and
