Remitly, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Development Engineer to serve as a core member of an engineering team to design the vision and roadmap of the software platform services central to the company's core products and growth. Develop easy-to-use software platform, leveraging expertise with software languages, deployment systems, and cloud infrastructure. Assess and validate software systems to ensure they adhere to the highest standard for security and compliance, collaborating with internal Infrastructure and Security teams, as needed. Implement software systems that promote efficient practices and enable standardization across platform services. Test network software systems and automation tools to ensure they meet internal and industry best practices. Implement, accelerate, and reengineer the delivery of world-class developer tools and practices in collaboration with Product Engineering, Information Technology, and other internal teams.

Position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, and 3 years of experience with software design, development, testing, and implementation. In the alternative, employer will accept two years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, and 3 years of experience with software design, development, testing, and implementation. Experience also must include a minimum of 2 years of experience with each of the following: designing distributed systems; system architecture and mobile development; full-stack development, product development, and web development; mentoring junior engineers; and C#, C++, Java, JavaScript, NoSQL, PHP, Python, React, SQL, and Typescript. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the US based on manager approval.

Job Location: Seattle, WA

Rate of Pay: $180,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
