Job Description:
Field Service Engineer (FSE)The ideal candidate will reside in
close proximity to Seattle, WA which will serve as your home base
for lithotripsy customers throughout the West Coast and Vancouver,
Canada. Your primary responsibilities will include technical
support, troubleshooting, repair, testing, and overall maintenance
of medical equipment under warranty and/or service contract. Your
secondary responsibilities include backing up other FSEs and their
customers throughout North America. This position will require 70%
travel.STORZ MEDICAL America, Inc. offers a competitive salary

toolsMINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum education level of an Associate Degree in Computer
Electronics or a two-year vocational electronics certificate.
- Military electronics school and experience is preferred.
- Experience working on Capital medical equipment in a hospital
environment is a plus.
- X-Ray/Imaging service experience is a plus.
- 3 to 5 years' field service experience preferred.
- Agile and adept Microsoft Windows user with strong working
knowledge of connectivity and directory structure.
- Strong familiarity with computer hardware repair at the
subassembly level.
- Must be familiar with the use of standard electronic test
equipment.
- Experience with LAN/WAN and PACS/DICOM communication a
plus.
- Must be able to interface directly with operating room staff,
clinical engineers, and sales managers.
- Possess exceptional organizational skills and the ability to
multi-task.
- Must have a valid passport and be able to travel
internationally.
- Must be able to travel up to 70% of the time, both domestically
and throughout Canada on short notice.
- Must be able to lift 80lbs.
- Must be able to work in both a maintenance (warehouse)
environment and hospital facility.
- Must be able to back up other territories when needed with
short notice.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must be able to support and troubleshoot with customers and
FSEs of varying skill levels.
- Support, maintain and service Hospital Line Products (SLX-F2
and SLK Lithotripter systems) to include integrated X-ray systems
and Ultrasound systems.
- Maintain frequent communication with all relevant service
department staff and primary customers.
- Works directly with FSEs, customers, hospital operating room
staff, clinical engineers and area sales managers on the sales,
service, and installation of equipment as needed.
- Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines
technical solutions in accordance with product and customer
specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer
representatives for coordinative product solution.
- Conducts basic technical training on product usage and
maintenance with customers.
- Maintain all company supplied tools, test equipment, laptops,
iPhones, and ensure calibrations are current.
- Maintains accurate inventory as needed.
- Follows proper workflow management on all relevant procedures
such as computer work, paperwork, and documentation submission in a
correct and timely manner.
- Able to work on complex problems with minimal supervision.
- Other duties consistent with the general nature and focus of
the job and/or the goals and objectives of the department may be
