Director of Front-End Experiences, you'll lead the development and
optimization of a world-class user experience for millions of
online guests. Each day, you'll collaborate closely with
cross-functional teams, including product management, UX design,
and back-end development, to ensure seamless integration and
alignment with business goals. You'll oversee the performance of
your team, focusing on building scalable, responsive, and
high-performance user interfaces that deliver exceptional digital
experiences. Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Set the vision for front-end development,
ensuring alignment with product and design teams, broader business
goals and the eCommerce growth strategy.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of
continuous improvement, encouraging innovation in front-end
development tools, processes, and user experiences.
- Metrics & Reporting: Provide engineering metrics (DORA,
performance, capacity etc) to inform decision making and strategic
plans. Ensure reporting accurately reflects the state of delivery
and escalations brought to senior leadership.
- Governance & Standards: Ensure adherence to coding standards,
design principles, accessibility, and security best practices,
maintaining consistency and quality across the front-end
codebase.
- Financial Management: Budget utilization / resource status
- Vendor Management: Contract renewals, performance
evaluation
- Team Management: Lead a team of front-end engineers and
managers, providing mentorship, conducting performance evaluations,
and fostering a collaborative, high-performing
culture.Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or
related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 10+ years of experience in front-end development, with at least
5 years in a leadership role managing front-end engineering
teams.
- Proven experience working on large-scale, customer-facing
eCommerce websites.
- Technical Expertise:
- Deep expertise in front-end technologies and modern front-end
build tools (Webpack, Module Federation, etc.).
- Knowledge of API integration (RESTful, GraphQL) and working
with headless CMS platforms.
- Strong understanding of responsive design, mobile-first
development, and progressive enhancement techniques.
- Experience with performance optimization techniques like lazy
loading, minification, and caching strategies.
- Familiarity with A/B testing and data-driven decision-making
processes.
- Leadership & Strategy:
- Proven ability to set strategic direction, manage
cross-functional teams, and deliver high-quality digital
experiences.
- Demonstrated success in driving collaboration between
development, product, UX, and design teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize
competing projects in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits Package lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in
a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional
individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this
position is from $190,400-$249,900 annually; the base pay offered
is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related
knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our
total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be
eligible for our competitive annual bonus progra m and equity
offerings , subject to program eligibility requirements. At
