APP - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Harborview Medical Center seeks talented professional in the
position of ARNP, Nurse Practitioner; or PA-C, Physician Assistant
("APP") for Wound/Ostomy/Limb Preservation/Amputee (WOLPAS)
Services.
This position is for 90% FTE, Days.
$10,000 Recruitment Incentive/Sign-On Bonus for eligible new
employees joining UW Medicine
Under supervision of the program manager for Wound, Ostomy, & Limb
Preservation(WOLPAS) Services and general administrative
supervision of the Director of APPs, the WOLPAS ARNP or PA-C (APP)
provides clinical expertise to patients and their families, is a
resource person for health care providers, and participates in
research and teaching programs. Work is performed with general
independence and decision-making responsibility under the general
guidance of the attending physicians, chief resident and department
Nurse/Program Manager. Guidelines include general policy procedures
and practice guidelines established by the department and
Harborview Medical Center, as well as appropriate professional and
technical manuals.
Harborview Medical Center serves a complex and diverse patient
population and provides care for all ages. The WOLPAS Service cares
for patients with acute and chronic wounds, those who are
considering or currently have ostomies, and those who are
considering or are currently have amputations.

Requirements:
Licensure as either an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in
the State of Washington or a Physician's Assistant (PA) in the
State of Washington, or equivalent legal license/certification;
must be eligible to receive hospital staff appointments for adjunct
staff membership by the organized medical staff of the hospital
under Medical Staff By-Laws for Hospital-based positions.
Wound Care Certification required.
For NPs - FNP certification desirable.
