Job Description:
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified Telemetry RN in Tacoma, Washington, 98405 About The
Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Telemetry
Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Days, Every Other Weekend
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of
acute care experience License: Must possess a valid RN license
Certifications: BLS, COVID Vaccine Required Must-Have: Experience
in acute care settings and ability to titrate drips according to
medical-surgical guidelines. Job Description: - Work as a part of
the Telemetry Float team across various medical-surgical units. -
Required to float across different units to support the entire
med-surg division. - Work assignments may include surgical,
long-term low acuity, medical cases, cardiac, neuro, orthopedics,
spine, and oncology. - RNs are responsible for patient ratios of
4-5 patients for all units. - Administer and titrate drips such as
Insulin, Heparin, Nitro, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Cardizem within
set guidelines. - Telemetry monitored remotely by telemetry techs;
RNs are responsible for verifying readings. - Perform duties as a
CNA or entrance screener if necessary. - 12-hour shift requirement
includes every other weekend and holiday rotations. - Must be
willing to float to other hospitals within the region as needed.
Additional Requirements: - Flexible and adaptable to meet the
scheduling needs across various units. - Basic orientation provided
for primary units; no orientation for alternate units as standard
care applies. - Familiarity and experience with Epic Systems
Corporation's EpicCare Inpatient EMR. - Committed to maintaining
high standards of patient care and compliance with all protocols.
Additional Notes: - Expectation to participate in on-call or
standby requirements as necessary. - Uniform requirements do not
