  • Pathologist Assistant position at Virginia Mason Medical Center.
  • Focus primarily on higher complexity specimens such as colon cancers, breast cancers, whipples, etc.
  • Training provided on-site.
    • Job Requirements
    • PA Grossing of complex specimens required.
    • Must be an ASCP registered Pathologist Assistant.
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts: (1) 8:30am-5:00pm & (1) 10am-6:30pm.
      • No weekend requirements.
      • No holiday requirements.
      • No call or standby call requirement.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • MLT or MT certified: (CA requires CLS) - Not required for this position.
        • Surgical Pathology only.
        • Areas covered: Hematology/Serology, Chemistry/Coag, Micro, & Blood Bank not required - focus is on Surgical Pathology.
        • Experience with EMR/Specific Equipment: Cerner.
          • Additional Details
          • ASCP, BLS is not required.
          • Medical Solutions auto deducts the 1.75 WA state tax - option to re-add that back in.
          • Lab Assistant: 2.
          • Department: LAB - Pathologist Assistant.
          • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Scrubs - Any professional colors.
