Job Description:
A company is looking for a Medical Records Specialist on a
contract basis to support responses to payer requests for medical
records.
Key Responsibilities
Review and respond to incoming requests from insurance companies
for patient medical records
Retrieve and examine patient records from the EHR system for
completeness and accuracy
Upload documents securely to payer portals and track all record
release activities
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years in medical records or health information
management
Experience with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athena) and payer
portals
Ability to accurately review and verify patient information
Strong ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize tasks
effectively
