Job Description:
A company is looking for a Neurology Coding Associate to review
clinical documentation and assign appropriate codes for billing
purposes.
Key Responsibilities
Assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and E/M codes for neurology and
vascular diagnoses and procedures
Review and clarify physician-assigned diagnosis codes and query
physicians for clarification as needed
Review and update edits and denials, correcting documentation as
necessary
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Active CPC or CCS, RHIT, or RHIA certification
Relevant work experience in neurology pro-fee coding
Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding guidelines
including ICD-10 CM, HCPCS, and CPT
