    • Job Requirements
    • BLS certification required
    • At least 2 years acute care experience
    • RNs required to titrate drips
    • Common titratable &/or set rate drips include Insulin, Heparin, Nitro up to 30mcg, Dobutamine up to 5mcg, Dopamine up to 5 mcg
    • Charge Nurse/House Supervisor present
    • Nurse aids on unit with CNAs taking 8-11 patients
    • RN's verify telemetry readings are correct
      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hour shifts
      • Full time schedule
      • Every other weekend required
      • 1-2 winter holidays required
      • Up to 4 times on call or standby during contract duration
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Med Surg at SJMC consists of multiple units with different specialties, all are telemetry
        • Travelers will float to cover the need of the entire med surg division
        • Expected to work in various units with different bed counts and specialties
        • Can be assigned as a CNA or entrance screener if needed
        • Med Surg Units vary in focus ranging from surgical to general medical cases
        • Orientation provided for multiple units, 4 hours each
        • No specific scrub color required
