We're seeking an Engineering Manager with deep blockchain expertise to lead and grow this critical area. • Lead and Inspire: Manage and mentor a team of senior engineers, driving innovation and growth through the full employee lifecycle.
• Own the Protocol Roadmap: Design and deliver secure, scalable solutions for core functionalities like staking, slashing, rewards, and EigenPods.
• Drive Impact: Safeguard billions of dollars in crypto assets while enabling new applications and capabilities for Ethereum and beyond.
• Collaborate Strategically: Work closely with technical and executive stakeholders to align protocol development with EigenLayer's strategic vision.
• Be a Blockchain Advocate: Represent Eigen Labs at industry events, engage with the developer community, and keep the team at the cutting edge of protocol advancements.What You Will Bring
• Deep Technical Expertise: 5+ years of engineering experience, including protocol or blockchain development, with hands-on Solidity and Ethereum expertise.
• Proven Leadership: 3+ years of engineering management experience, with a history of growing and leading senior teams on impactful projects.
• Execution Excellence: A track record of delivering high-stakes, large-scale technical projects within the blockchain or decentralized ecosystem.
• Clear Communication: Ability to distill complex technical ideas into actionable strategies for diverse stakeholders, bridging the gap between engineering and business.Nice to Have
• Led protocol development at top Ethereum projects (e.g., Uniswap, Aave) or other L1/L2 chains (e.g., Filecoin, Sui).
• Combined Big Tech and blockchain experience, with demonstrated hands-on protocol work or impactful side projects.
• Background in blockchain or distributed systems engineering.The target base salary for this role will range between $210,000 to $250,000. This is determined by a few factors including your skillset, prior relevant experience, quality of interviews and market factors at the point in time of offer.
