A singular technology platform powered by data and machine learning provides secure, differentiated, and personalized experiences that drive loyalty and traveler satisfaction.Are you a passionate and inventive Engineering Manager to provide technical expertise and manage a team while working with partner teams to develop platform solutions? If so, we are hiring a Sr. Manager, Engineering for the Intelligent Services team. You'll be working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, high-energy environment. Our team has built Expedia's conversation platform shared across multiple partners; your mission will be to build the product to support conversations on the Voice channel, available in the Open World platform for external partners to adopt this platform.In this role, you will:

  • Be a great engineering leader for the team and broader organization, working with a very technical diverse team of developers and providing technical direction.
  • Manage a team of 8-10 engineers to plan, track, and deliver quality features in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines like PM and UX, partner with other teams to manage dependencies, and effectively manage the project to deliver on time.
  • Design and provide technical guidance to large feature areas and understand the technical details of complex areas.
  • Implement rigorous quality engineering practices across all phases of product development and deployment.
  • Mentor employees in the development of team and individual goals, provide regular and specific feedback, and assess individual and team performance.Experience and Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or related field; or equivalent related professional experience.
    • 10+ years of professional industry experience working on large projects, including 2+ years of people management experience in a product development environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Effective collaboration skills driving changes at scale.
    • Experience working with Senior leadership across multiple product and engineering areas.
