Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills are essential in our complex environment.DescriptionThe Cloud Infrastructure team, as part of Apple Services Engineering, is seeking an extraordinary engineering program manager (EPM) that can help deliver innovative software developer tools/services and cloud technologies that will shape the future of software development at Apple. You'll partner with teams across Apple to provide them with a rich developer experience that enables first and third-party cloud technologies including cloud provisioning, software lifecycle observability, deployment observability, service offerings, solution blueprints, and more.We're a fast-paced organization with bold goals, a large user base, and the autonomy to build the future of application/service development at Apple. Teams across Apple rely on us for innovative developer tools and services that help them build services that scale globally, are highly available, and 'just work'. We listen to different perspectives, help surface innovative ideas, and drive decisions that move us forward. You'll need a strong background in program and project management complemented by your technical abilities. Strong communication skills are essential.Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years proven experience in software development project management.
- Knowledge of full lifecycle development process - including requirements analysis, design, development, deployment, testing, and maintenance.
- Experience in Agile methodology.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, databases, object storage, caching, and messaging.
- Knowledge of CI/CD technologies (e.g., Tekton, Bazel, Spinnaker, base images, CDEvents), developer portals, and solution blueprints.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar technical
field or relevant experience.Preferred Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to represent at all levels of the organization.
- Able to interact with large developer communities and large internal customer teams, gathering input on evolving needs and sharing both needs and project status with senior leaders.
- Strong facilitation skills (requirements sessions, design meetings, progress and status meetings).
- Comfortable working with engineering leads and their teams to drive the use of standard methodologies and processes and drive adoption.
- Ability to handle multiple simultaneous end-to-end infrastructure, technical projects and partner community comprising various engineering teams and their partners.
- Experience prioritizing features and technical roadmaps.
- Self-motivated individual who can grasp new technical concepts quickly, adapt quickly to change, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and partners.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding/experience of cloud security.Education &
ExperienceAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation
package and is determined within a range. This provides the
opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The
base pay range for this role is between $157,000 and $236,300, and
your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications,
experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity
to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's
discretionary employee stock programs. You'll also receive benefits
including comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement
benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and
reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses
