Passion for our mission and vision is required!This role is part of Enterprise Program Management (EPM), where we provide technical standards, tools, processes, training, and subject matter expertise for product engineering and manufacturing. EPM allows all Blue Origin business units to benefit from commonly used capabilities, hardware, and software and assists business units in identifying, selecting, and training engineers from both inside and outside the organization.Special Mentions

  • Interviews will include a technical assessmentResponsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Your primary responsibility will be to utilize the proper tools, equipment, and processes, to rework and repair high reliability avionics printed circuit board assemblies.
    • These high reliability assemblies include fine pitch printed circuit board assemblies, cables, and various avionics boxes and harnesses.
    • Work includes both manual hand operations and the operation of automated rework & repair equipment.
    • Ability to verify (polarity, size, function, etc.), hand place, and hand solder components on printed circuit boards in accordance with engineering documentation, manufacturing process plans, and IPC-J-STD-001 and IPC 610 standards.
    • Miniature and micro-miniature soldering required.
    • You will perform rework/repair of avionics hardware assemblies and enclosures on an as-needed basis.Both by hand and with the help of surface mount technology equipment.
    • Removal and installation of miniature and micro-miniature components by soldering/de-soldering.
    • Contribute to lab 5s responsibilities and process improvement projects.
    • Ability to work to both verbal and written engineering instructions. Minimum Qualifications
      • IPC-J-STD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-610 certified
      • customer-oriented with excellent communication skills.

      • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Preferred Qualifications
        • Have crimp, cable, and harnessing experience with IPC 620 certification
        • Experience with JBC soldering stations
        • Active IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification.
        • Active IPC-7711/7721 certification.
