The Department of Radiology in the School of Medicine at the
University of Washington in Seattle is recruiting for one full-time
(100% FTE) faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor or
Associate Professor without tenure (WOT) by reason of funding,
commensurate with experience, to join faculty members in the
Emergency and Trauma Radiology section with an anticipated start
date of July 1, 2025. Assistant Professors WOT are eligible for
multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period
(July 1-June 30). Associate Professors WOT hold indefinite
appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June
30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months
of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the
equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
Harborview Medical Center is one of the nation's leading academic
medical centers and the only Level 1 trauma center in the state of
Washington. In addition to caring for local trauma and
non-traumatic emergencies, Harborview receives and cares for large
numbers of severely injured patients transferred from Alaska,
Idaho, Montana, Washington, and Wyoming.
We staff a busy emergency radiology practice situated in the center
of the emergency and trauma center. We train medical students and
all radiology residents from the University of Washington, as well
as three Emergency Radiology fellows per year. All University of
Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.
The base salary range for this position will be: $33,178 - $36,495
per month ($398,136 - $437,940 annually) commensurate with
experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department
of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of
base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan,
in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note
that only compensation provided by the University is included in
University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation
provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide
eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.
This position is incentive eligible through the physicians practice
plan.

In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B
visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show
successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical
Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the
Secretary of Health and Human Services.
